Wissota 7" belt driven grinder.
Cast iron body. Cast aluminum guards and tool rests.
I believe the same exhaust guards were used on Wissota's 7" electric grinders.
The PO has the shaft reversed and the wheels spinning upward. I believe he did this for buffing.
I plan on doing a full restoration..
Vintage GE model 27468, type SA, ¼hp, 1725rpm motor.
>>HISTORY<<
Ann Arbor Michigan Craigslist find, August 2012.
No further information is known.
UPDATE 12/2012: Restoration complete.
Paint top coat-Rustoleum Hammered Silver.
New fasteners.
New NTN 6203ZZ ball bearings.
Inner wheel flange jagged edges and face cleaned up on metal lathe.
Inner wheel flange as-cast holes were slightly loose, so I added a soft drink can metal shim to make it snug and square to the shafts.
10/07/2015: Sold to a fellow OWWMer.
