Comments:
This is a 1966 Craftsman 10-inch Tilting-arbor Floor-model saw with the exclusive "Exact-I-Cut" Guide...on page 1085 of the "Big Sears" catalog she was a whopping $239.00 without a blade guard. The saw weighed in with a 1-HP 3450-RPM motor at 328lbs. There is a picture of this saw on this site in the 1966 Craftsman Power and Hand Tools Catalog on page 5 which lists the saw at $269.95. This Cabinet "Floor Model" Saw was last year to be built in 1966 and were totally manufactured on site at Emerson's plant in Paris, Tennessee per Vic Kluefner at Emerson Tool Co. in St. Louis. I have also seen this saw on the cover of the 1956 Craftsman Power Tools Catalog which means the design was by King-Seeley of Yipsilanti, Michigan. Per the Central Speciality article in the C-Saw Special Dated June 25,1953 this saw was rolled out for Sears as a brand new model design. I received a copy of the article in Sept. 2002 from the Ypsilanti Historical Society via Mr. Perry Petty. In 1964 all of the King-Seeley designs where acquired by Emerson of St. Louis who continued production throughout the 1960's and beyond for some King-Seeley design patents...the Craftsman Cabinet saw is an example of one of King-Seeley's best designs, it is very smooth with beefy cast iron trunions and arbor castings...the cast semi-steel fence rides on the front rails nylon inserts and the back is on a machined steel roller...this fence is as good as they ever come. The saw still has it's original 1966 charcoal colored paint on it. I bought the saw from a guy off of the OWWM's site, he had the saw in storage in Los Angeles and I had it shipped to Houston via Forward Air for $88.

Update: I found a non-working and 1955 1-HP 3450 rpm "Heavy Duty" Craftsman Emerson made 113.19090 model motor for this saw which is the correct motor offered with this saw when purchased new. Put in new bearings, capacitor and cleaned/reset the original Century starting switch. This motor is painted with Awl Grip two part polyurthane paint and was primed with Interlux Interprotect 2000 tow part epoxy barrier coat marine primer. The upgrade motor offered for this saw from Sears was a Heavy Duty 1.5-HP version that required a different motor mount plate bracket that I have never personlly seen either one out there in the wild myself.
