This came to me by way of a gentleman who is "cleaning house". He told me his parents bought a house 50 years ago and this was in the basement. That is the only history he could give me. The Blade Guard matches that of the one shown, on this site, in the Image section for a 1947 ad. Later guards were different. The only missing part is one of the two bolts holding the discharge chute plate on. It is of a type very commonly used in other applications and should be easy to replace. No motor or stand.
It was a pleasure to pick up a saw which I could easily carry out by myself with little effort (37 pounds.)
