Comments:
The New No. 16 was the largest post drill manufactured by Canedy-Otto. This drill came from the last blacksmith shop in Concord, NH. It weighs ~360lbs, drills to the center of a 24" circle and has a spindle travel of 6 1/4". It has dual speed, rapid change, horizontal drive gears and an elaborate, rate-adjustable auto-feed system. I have posted a detailed accounting of the restoration process in the Wiki knowledge base.
