This drill press was purchased off e-bay from a gentleman in Wisconsin. The original purchase price for this drill press in 1913 was $150.00 and the net weight was 680 lbs.
It is 100% complete right down to the drive pullies and the foot pedal that shift the drive belt between the drive and the idler pully. The most interesting feature is that it is equipped with auto downfeed and is back geared giving it 8 spindal speeds and 6 downfeed speeds. The spindle has 10" of travel and excepts a MT3 drill bit.
The dealers badge is still on the drill press BADGER-PACKARD MACHINERY CO. MILWAUKEE WISCONSIN. I hope to start restoration this summer,keeping it all original and then put it to work. If anyone has any info or dirty paper on these drill presses I would be pleased to hear from you. Scott.
