Bought this from an 84 year old gentleman how told me it was his Father's. It has been in the family for as long as he can remember. It looks to be in very good shape and has a minimum of modifications and damage.
The original leather belt pulley is still attached to the spindle, although it now has a v-belt. The motor may be original but it has definitely been rewired to three prong.
The little specs in the images are what appears to be bird seed that fell out of the center column when I lifted the center column out. Wonder what was storing the seed? (I have a Walker-Turner DP that had a mouse nest under its base.)
More photos to come once the restoration is complete.
If anyone can supply some tips and tricks, your comments are welcome!
