This machine was aquired with 3 others as a package deal from a man in Ridgway, CO. All these machines were purchased new by Elk Mountain Millworks, a Colorado Company. From what I learned, these machines were bought new in 2001, and Elk Mountain Millworks went out of business in 2003. The person I bought them from used them for one job, then stored them in his heated garage wood shop where they sat until I bought them this past October. These machines are in incredible condition, with barely a scratch on them. In fact, this jointer has an hour meter on it, and when I got it it read only 28 hrs.

This machine is Northfield's 16" Heavy Duty machine. 7.5hp direct drive Reuland motor, hand brake, 4 knife cutterhead. Machine also included a knife grinder. This is a pretty stock machine with the exception of the 4 knife cutterhead which is an option on the 16" machine. Runs very smooth and procudes a great finish.
