This machine was aquired with 3 others as a package deal from a man in Ridgway, CO. All these machines were purchased new by Elk Mountain Millworks, a Colorado Company. From what I learned, these machines were bought new in 2001, and Elk Mountain Millworks went out of business in 2003. The person I bought them from used them for one job, then stored them in his heated garage wood shop where they sat until I bought them this past October. These machines are in incredible condition, with barely a scratch on them. In fact, this table saw has an hour meter on it, and when I got it it read only 27 hrs.
This is a 7.5hp machine, came with a 1" arbor, warner electric brake, 2 miter gages, 2 fences including the rack and pinion fence with micrometer adjustment as well as the biesmeyer fence, standard and dado throat plates, lexan guard, 24" cast iron extension table to the right of the blade, 4" dado extension, 12" Royce dado head, and 3 Royce 14" blades. I had not used Royce blades prior to now, but I am very impressed, they cut very well. I have an 18" TCG blade I have used on here and the noise difference is huge between the 14" and 18" saw blades. I try to use the smaller blades as much as possible, they are much quieter. This saw is extremely smooth and it replaces my older 1960 Northfield saw I previously restored.
