Craftsman bench saw (table saw) 8" tilting arbor. i acquired this saw through craigslist early 2011. when i got it the base was made from rotting ply wood, the wiring was nob and tube with a socket that was about to catch on fire. the body and motor was rusty, the v-belt pulleys were dented with a shot v-belt. the one saving grace was the arbor was in really good shape. so, I cleaned the rust off, gave it a new base, pulleys, belt (linked belts are the best), electrical and base. i then put and older 36-in Biesemeyer fence that i also found on craigslist (the fence was also in ruff shape) and made a (i think good looking) belt guard from some angle iron and an old angle grinder guard. the Biesemeyer fence was customized to hold my combo square, pencil, scoring knife and router table accessories. I also added a router table to one side of the saw to save space in my small shop. it was transformed from a rusted junk to retro gold. ill soon upload pics of the completed saw.
Update 1-23-12:
I just sold my saw do to an injury on the saw. i went with the stop saw (i know, i know, blasphemy).
sorry guys
