Purchased from a person who owned it in Madison, North Carolina who used it for a few years. He had bought from another guy in Virginia who inherited it from his family. The machine is cast from the older King Seeley cast molds with a Craftsman 150 label that puts it after the Emerson acquisition of King Seeley, so I guess it dates from 1964 - 1966 time frame. The motor is a 1/3HP made by Sunlight Motors Model S 7094 1750 RPM. The motor sticker says Packard Electric Division, General Motors Corporation, Warren, Ohio 11-48. I do not know if this motor is original to the drill press because someone had modified the machine adding another step pulley that would not have been original to the machine. I removed the assemble shown in pictures below and bought a new pulley configuring it back to something like what it was originally. Plans are for a restoration so it now sits in the queue to be completed. It works great after adding new wiring and changing out the jury rigged pulley system.
