The saw was purchased from someone who had bought the machine some 15 years ago with the intent to restore it but it just sat and sat in his garage until the wife said it had to guy. It was given to him from a friend who's grandfather passed away and had it laying about and wanted rid of it. So for $140 it now sits in my garage partially disassembled and in the process of being reconditioned. The pictures are of its condition upon purchase in September 2011. A future post of the reconditioned machine will be made when it is finished, whenever that may be Lord knows. The machine has the original cabinet base. The base has some deteriorated back legs from sitting in the dirt for years in a barn so these would need re-fabrication. The table is unique in that it can be cranked forward and has a build in scale on a roller tape (numbers are rusted away though). The machine is cast aluminum and helps reduce the weight but it is still extremely heavy. I remove the yoke and motor, stand and base/arm to move the 3 pieces individually. It still requires two people to move the base/arm. I intend to update the finished work but there are many projects ongoing with a full-time job so we shall see how long it takes.
