Comments:

Remnants of a hand-cranked forge. About 4' in height. Found on the side of a mountain in the Bugaboo Mountains of British Columbia. Used to sharpen drill steel in an old mine tunnel that was driven into a near vertical cliff face at ~8200' elevation. Later was either pushed or was carried by a snow slide over the edge of a cliff, resulting in all spokes of the fly wheel being broken when it fell to the talus below.
