This machine has a long history, and I only know of a month of it.. It is all intact, I even have the original cutter guard. The motor was completely packed with grease (all through the field winding and rotor) from a nearly a century of lazy owners.. Amazing it ran. -Appeared to be the original bearings (SHOT!). The oil reservoirs in the spindle housing were dry, as were the bearings. At some point the spindle was poorly machined down to 1.1 inches. I trued it up removing as little diameter as I could, and I've made my own bushings to accommodate 1-1/4" cutters. Most importantly, the old man and I finally got an opportunity to use the antique flat belt lacing tool!I paid $350 and drove six hours each way one Sunday to get this machine, and I've made it right for another $250. It will surely last my lifetime.
