We were staying at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds near Mariposa California. August 15, 2011. They rent out RV spaces during the year. This machine was setting outside one of the fair buildings. There are a lot of wild flower and weed growth around it, the fair is held over the Labor Day weekend. Maybe they will clean it up before then. When I took the pictures I wasn't thinking of posting them on a website. I was just curious and thought I would do some research on this machine. As you can see by the pictures the front end of the boiler is missing exposing the tube ends inside. Also at firebox end the bottom of the box is gone, probably rusted away. On one side of the boiler a tube runs to the stack which I think is for the exhaust steam. On that same tube the words "The J.C. Hoadley Co. Lawrence Mass. USA." are moulded on the side of the tube (see pictures). Also the plate with the patent dates is still readable, although my picture is slightly out of focus. The Dates are as follows:
Feb 5 1861
Jan 7 1873
July 7 1868
Oct 14 1878
March 7 1871
Oct 28 1878
March 17 1874
