Comments:
Purchased used, in junk condition for $125.00 in 1986 as a replacement for a good one I had that I got in 1984 and sold. 1985 list price was $587.38 and the offset attachment was $88.00 back in the day when regular power feeders sold for over $1000.00. The feeder has been in use since then, but relegated to table saw use when I got a Delta 34-985 baby feeder in 1986 for the shaper. The feeder is powerful and fast. Its total weight is 75 lbs, so its easier than a full size feeder to move around and store. The mechanics are simple and repairable. This particular sample has a broken main casting, but a good one was found at the 2010 Arnfest. The model 60 offset attachment was recently purchased from Ben Rock at Pleasant St. Machinery. I was tickled to get it as it was the only one I'd run across for sale since 1986. The feeder on a table saw is particularly useful for moulding heads and dado setups that require a lot of stock to be run. One T-handle clamps it to the fence. In 1986 I put a cheapie Craftsman 1/3 HP motor on top and rigged a switch on the motor. Is been satisfactory ever since.
