I am a 3rd Generation owner of this saw. Originally purchased by my Grandfather, Archie V. McNeil, a home builder, in 1951. He used it for seven years 'til his death in 1958. My Late Father, John A. McNeil, then acquired it and used it in his home shop, 'til his death in 1997. I got the saw about two years later from my brother whom I'm afraid couldn't use a hammer if his life depended on it. In July 2011, I completed an amateur restoration on the old girl, and I'm proud to use the saw that has served the men in my Family for more than Sixty years!

The Blade Guard was badly pitted and you couldn't see through the plastic.

I decided to paint the gear housing on the rip fence - I could't get the aluminum to shine again.
