This machine was actually given to me by my father-in-law's neighbor. It was rusty and old, but I was able to fix it up somewhat. As of this writing, I still haven't used it for anything, but I will shortly.

I'm including pics of the weird blade guard that came with my RAS. Take a look.

Anyone seen an antikickback mechanism on their RAS like this one? I've never seen it on anything else.

What is it?

Any thoughts?
