I got this old post drill at an auction a few years ago. I thought it was sort of unique since the flywheel is on top of a vertical shaft. I actually worked at the old Illinois Iron and Bolt factory in the early 70's when it was Star Manufacturing, we made plow shares and moldboards. A lot of the machinery was still line shaft driven. It was a pretty neat job.
