This machine is a Connell & Dengler 52" size wheel band resaw manufactured in Rochester, NY. It takes a 31'6" long x 8" wide blade. It was originally all babbit bearings which have mostly been modified to modern roller and ball bearings. It is driven by a 50 HP motor. The cutting capacity is 10" right of blade , 8" left of blade and we have sawn material as thick (high) as 24". It is currently still in use at Frontier Lumber Company in Buffalo, NY. It is used to resaw both hardwood and softwood timbers or boards for industrial and commercial clients. As far as I know the machine has been in use at F.L.C. for appox 62 years .I have been and currently am in charge of Frontier's hardwood mill and will gladly supply any more info or photo's if anyone's interested.
