This machine was auctioned recently on eBay by the granddaughter of the 83-year-old owner. It was withdrawn when he received an offer for more than the $65 he wanted to get.

The machine is unmarked, but it closely resembles a "Simplex Upright Hollow Chisel Mortiser and Borer" seen in a 1925 Woodworkers' Tool Works catalog. See the Manufacturers Index entry for Simplex (linked above) for the catalog entry.
