I bought this from a reseller, so I have no information on its background. I picked it up to not only use, but because I could only find meantion of them online via Google Books in some trade rags from the 1920's but no pictures or anything. So to keep this from becoming a lost type of grinder I picked it up.
Its a Universal motor (DC or AC) and for our woodworking intents and purposes I plan on using it to grind chisel backs (its an old Sheffield technique)

Overall shot, push button on top slides all the way in, turn off by pushing it back out from the back. The large hex screws off to reviel what is probably an oil reseviour packed with old grease.

The badge is 1/2 under one of the wooden handles so this is the bottom half.
