>>MACHINE<<
Craftsman/Emerson 6" belt driven bench grinder.
King-Seeley/Central Specialty originally built this grinder under model number 103.66040.
Note the "crown" style Craftsman logo on the label, which also indicates the later model.
The previous owner had it bolted to a piece of ¼" plate steel and driven by a Delco ¼ hp motor.
The motor is mounted to a piece of ½" EMT, which rests in a pair of Craftsman pivot clips.
The motor is equipped with a Craftsman cone pulley.
The belt is an original Craftsman part, 30" long.
>>HISTORY<<
Ebay purchase in January 2010, for local pick-up in Northern Illinois.
Fellow OWWMer Tim Kohout enlisted his BIL to pick-up the rig.
Tim brought it to his place and Pottered it through February 2010, then Ruckered it to my place in March 2010.
(A big thanks to Tim and his BIL!)
UPDATE-07/10/2010: Restoration complete.
Scrubbed castings with Zep purple cleaner.
The embossed foil tag didn't survive in some places, after cleaning and masking.
New KS 1622 double seal bearings from Accurate.
Paint topcoat is Rustoleum Hammered Bronze.
A pair of vintage Craftsman wheels round out the machine.
