Ths lathe is not actually a Tauco Export machine but a machine made by Tauco Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd in South Africa which took over production of Rockwell machines once they closed their plant in South Africa. Tauco Manufacturing assimilated Rockwell designs into theirs. This lathe appears to have the same bed as the Rockwell 46 Series. The head and tailstock are local designs and simpler in design. Tauco Manufacturing operated from roughly 1973 to 1981 before selling off the business. The history of Rockwell in South Africa is on the owwm wiki and gives the story.
