I am not at all familiar with Tannewitz table saws. I could not find any dirty paper in the owwm achieves for this saw. The saw appears to have been modified from its original configuration. I'm guessing it originally had a direct drive motor like the other two of it's kind shown in the owwm photos section. The seller stated that the past owner wanted to keep the original motor that was on the saw.
This saw was in the seller’s basement. We had to disassemble it into manageable pieces to get it up a flight of stairs and out to the truck.
There are no badges on saw. The only number(s) I could find other than casting/part numbers was on the top left rear of table. I am only guessing that this number is the serial number. My first thought was that the first part of this number (5882) is the S/N and next came the date of mfr. (20469) Feb 4 1969. Upon checking the Wiki S/N 5882 would date this saw around 1939-40 and if correct 20469 is not the born on date.
Note: Much of this saw was eventually parted out though a few parts are still hanging around my shop.
