I found this machine thru' Craigslist in VA. The saw was in NC. I called and talked to the owner who told me the saw had originally been owned by his brother in law. The saw had been used but taken care of and the saw was pretty much intact. The original motor is long gone but was replaced with a steel case; AO Smith, 1 1/2 H.p. years ago. I pretty much bought the saw sight unseen, other than a couple of Craigslist pictures.
I thought about a total restoration but, to me; the saw was in good enough shape to just opt for a little sprucing up.
I cleaned it up, cut a longer piece of pipe to raise the pedestal and built a rolling dolly. I made a new insert as the saw came with the dado insert only.
I bought the right side table extension, aluminum fence rail extension, and later year miter gauge.
