The Mastercraft brand is used by the Canadian Tire Corporation (established in 1913), a chain of retail stores and automotive service centres. The stores sell everything from tires to waffle irons to low-priced woodworking and metalworking machines. Nowadays the tools are all imports but at one time they found makers in North America, including

We have seen quite a few older Canadian Tire woodworking machines whose makers remain unidentified.

This web site's focus is restricted to woodworking machinery, metalworking machinery, engines, motors, vises and handheld power tools that were made in North America, Great Britain or Sweden. Please do not upload pictures of any other Mastercraft products. Also, we cannot answer any inquiries related to those other products.

Canadian Tire Catalogs

Beginning in 1926, Canadian Tire published road maps with a price list on the other side. The first English book-format catalog was published in 1933. The first French edition was published in 1957.
