In the mid to late 1940s Wilson Brass & Aluminum Foundries, Ltd., made Simple Simon scrollsaws, bandsaws and horizontal belt sanders made from aluminum. As seen below, a May 1948 ad from a Chicago surplus dealer features the Simple Simon 12" bandsaw, which likely means that the saw had not been successful and the manufacturer had discontinued the product and disposed of their stock on hand.
