After William E. Gang left Dietz, Gang & Co. in 1893, he established William E. Gang & Co., and under that name manufactured radial drilling machines. In 1899 the business reorganized as the William E. Gang Co. It was succeeded by Carlton Machine Tool Co. circa 1917.
