Jaeger Machine Co. manufactured gasoline engines, Standish foot-power hammers, and other machinery. The Standish foot-power hammer was being manufactured by Capital City Machine Co. of Columbus in 1891. Jaeger first appeared in the Columbus city directory in 1906, with Gebhard Jaeger as vice president and manager, W. H. Peters as secretary, and no president listed. Gebhard Jaeger later became president.
