Capital City Machine Co., also known as Capital City Machine Works and Standish Machine and Supply Co., manufactured the Standish foot-power hammer invented by its proprietor, Albert H. Standish (1842-1902). There are hints that Jaeger Machine Co. purchased the right to the power hammer about 1906, because Jaeger manufactured the Standish hammer for about 10 more years.
