In 1879 Jarecki Brothers & Co. of Erie, PA, was making pipe cutting and threading machines. The founder was Henry Jarecki. His son Albert H. Jarecki was granted several 1870s patents for pipe tongs. By 1897 the name had changed to Jarecki Manufacturing Co.

There was an apparently unrelated "Jarecki" company that manufactured metalworking machinery in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Listed in 1897 The Iron Age Manufacturers Index as a maker of "Vises, Pipe".
A Jarecki pipe cutting and threading machine is featured in the September 1917 issue of Boston Blue Bulletin from machinery distributor Hill, Clarke & Co.
We have also seen the name Jarecki, Hays & Co., operators of the Erie Brass & Iron Works in 1874, in an ad that mentions an 1874 patent for a water valve. Jarecki, Hays & Co. seems likely to be a predecessor to Jarecki Brothers but more research is needed. Another name is Jarecki, Metz & Co., from an 1870 patent for a deep-well pump.
