By 1916 Frank J. Jarecki and Leon G. Nadolski were co-owners of the Manhattan Machine & Tool Works of Grand Rapids, Mich., makers of a screw press that Jarecki had patented in 1917, as well as a pedestal-mounted surface grinder. In 1923 Jarecki bought out Nadolski and renamed the business to Jarecki Machine & Tool Co., which continued making both the screw press and the surface grinder. The business seems to have survived into the 1940s and perhaps for much longer.
