This firm made the "American Sash Trimmer" that had formerly been made by L. S. Heald & Son of Barre, MA, and then Heald Machine Co. of Worcester.

Information Sources

  • Thanks to Arly Kovelesky, who first brought our attention to this maker.
  • Thanks to Jeff McVey, who provided additional information in a posting to the OWWM list.
  • An OWWM posting by Dick Streff mentioned a Woodworkers Tool Works catalog showing an American Sash Trimmer. The undated catalog does not provide a maker's name. The machine was listed at $94; an additional pair of knives was $12, and a pair of bed pieces was $4; a miter cutting attachment was $60, and a complete miter cutter without the sash-cutting components was $90.
