We have a report of a "Curtis Kelsey" stroke sander from this maker.
Information Sources
- A posting in the OWWM forum first brought this company to our attention.
- A search for patents assigned to this company came up dry, as did a search for sander patents to anyone named Kelsey. Edward W. Curtis of Jamestown, NY, received several sander patents, and those patents were used by Curtis Machine Co. of Jamestown; that company made stroke sanders, so a connection seems quite plausible. A man named Kelsey Curtis of Winchester, CT, received an 1856 patentfor an auger bit. There does not seem to be any connection with this firm.
