Founded by Robert E. Manley, Manley Products Corp. manufactured hydraulic presses and automobile service equipment beginning in early 1936. The firm changed its name to Remco Products Corp. on Jan. 1, 1938. Mr. Manley had previously founded and led Manley Manufacturing Co., which he sold to American Chain Co. Apr. 10, 1927. He developed and patented much of the equipment manufactured by both firms. Finally, in 1945 Manley's son Robert E. Manley Jr. established Manco Products Co. in York, PA, also making hydraulic presses.
