Clearing Machine Corp. manufactured power presses and lathe duplicator attachments. They were in business by about 1918 and at some point between 1946 and 1957 became a division of U. S. Industries, Inc. During that U. S. Industries era they manufactured product lines inherited from other manufacturers, including Clearing-Axelson lathes and Torc-Pac presses. They also were a distributor for lathes originating from T. S. Harrison & Sons, Ltd., England.
