In 1859, Addison Crosby sold "Crosby's Resawing Machine" It is possible that the saws were Pearson Crosby's patented designs. It is not known whether Addison or Pearson was the manufacturer, nor do we know the relationship between the two men.
By 1861, Addison Crosby was superintendent at the Newark Machine Co. in Newark, NJ.
