The short-lived Hercules Machine & Tool Co., Inc. was created in 1919 to acquire the metalworking machinery lines of Himoff Machine Co. The last traces of the company we can find are about four years later.

- October 1921 A.S.M.E. Mechanical Catalog and Directory has a full-page ad showing two gear hobbing machines. The directory lists Hercules M&T as makers of gear hobbers, engine lathes, heavy-duty lathes, projectile lathes, screw-cutting lathes, turret lathes, screw machines, and various kinds of gears.
