For Sale is a J-70 Wood Lathe by Yates American. 10" swing, about a 5' cast iron bed. This thing is heavy.
It came from a school, so I would assume it needs the usual going over; bearings, cleaning, repaint, etc. The reeves drive seemed to work when I moved it back and forth as I turned it by hand.
The motor is 3-phase, and I was not able to test it, but there's no reason it shouldn't work.
I can hold on to it for a time, work with ruckers, and possibly bring it to OWAMMOs in April. I prefer not to ship.
This is a solid heavy lathe. Currently it's in pcs, and I can provide additional pics of it all spread out if you need them. Sorry this pic is so bad, it was very dark in the building.
The banjo, tool rest, tail stock, and switch are not included. |
