Up for sale is an unusually clean, well-preserved Delta / Rockwell Homecraft Model 46-111 gap-bed lathe (Serial No: BX-4471). This is a remarkably complete, working setup with a substantial amount of original tooling—not a stripped-down bare machine.
The castings, hardware, and classic gray Delta finish have been exceptionally well cared for, making this a great candidate for a time-capsule shop or immediate use. It is currently mounted with its period-correct motor and multi-step pulley drive system on a substantial wooden bench/cabinet with storage drawers, which is included.
Specifications:
Capacity: 11" swing over the bed, 14" swing in the gap, approx. 36" between centers.
Spindle/Tapers: 1"-8 TPI spindle with #2 Morse Taper (MT2) in both the headstock and tailstock, making it fully compatible with modern 4-jaw chucks and live centers without adapters.
Included Tooling & Accessories:
Original Delta/Rockwell compound cross-slide attachment for precision metal-turning and detailing (excellent condition).
Delta DDL-57 (Cat. No. 894) double-post tool rest.
Standard original-style tool rests and tool support bases.
Multiple original Delta faceplates.
Drive centers, cup centers, and drill chuck/arbor.
Vintage Barron Rotary Wood Planer in original box.
Additional specialty pieces and custom rests as shown in the photos.
Everything pictured with the machine is included. Asking $1,100. Local pickup in the NE Ohio area is strongly preferred due to the size and weight of the bench and cast iron. Happy to answer any questions or provide specific photos of the ways or tapers upon request. |
