Offered for sale is a hard-to-find Herbert's Machinery Co. Wizard Model 1214 drill press, complete with the desirable Wizard 1000 jackshaft assembly and the original belt tensioner pulley.
This drill press is fully operational and functions exactly as it should. The spindle runs smoothly, the quill feeds properly, and the machine is ready to be put back into service.
Unlike many examples that have been sandblasted and repainted, this machine still retains a substantial amount of its original factory finish, making it an excellent candidate for a collector or anyone who appreciates honest, unrestored vintage machinery.
The drill press has been carefully cleaned and treated to inhibit further surface corrosion, but has not been restored or repainted, preserving its originality.
Please note: The electric motor and drive belt are NOT included in the sale (because I don't have them(). The only non-original component is the custom-fabricated motor mounting plate, which was made to accommodate a larger previously installed motor. The custom motor mount plate can be removed upon request if the buyer prefers the machine without it.
