This is a variable speed lathe. I got it with the intention of fixing it up but life intruded and now it is in a sad state.
HERE'S WHAT I KNOW:
* The tailstock, banjo, rest, and some other giblets have been stored in my shop and are not rusty.
* The thing is massive and heavy.
* It will need a bunch of work and I don't have a lot of hope for the morse taper on the headstock.
HERE'S WHAT I DON'T KNOW:
* If the motor works.
* How much it weighs.
* How much Evaporust, blast media, or how many Scotch-Brite pads you'll use up.
Totally willing to negotiate on price. |
