For sale: Steel-frame Double-Dog Foley-Belsaw M-14, 46" — barn find, never assembled. The blade is still mounted inside the original wooden packaging. Price: $4,000 — pickup in Lake Katrine, NY. Sold as-is.
Short description
Unassembled, largely complete Foley-Belsaw M-14 sawmill (steel frame, double-dog, 46"). The blade remains in its original wooden packaging (with light orbital sanding applied to a portion). Minimal surface rust on the blade, no heavy pitting. This came from a second owner (Amish seller) who had it stored and partially repainted; I purchased it two years ago, but it’s surplus to my needs.
Condition — quick facts
Blade: still mounted in original packing; light test sanding performed on a small section; minimal rust damage; two carbide insert teeth missing.
Assembly: never assembled; most parts 100% intact.
Paint: partially repainted (Tractor Supply red implement paint applied by previous owner).
Bearings: I purchased two new sets of main drive mandrel bearings (originals looked usable but new sets included).
Rollers: Five ball-bearing rollers (Pn 4660231?) roll freely.
Feedworks: feed mechanisms in good condition.
Missing / needs repair: one center support assembly is missing (see page 10, figure 5-B of the VintageMachinery manual: http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/detail.aspx?id=19654 |
