For Sale: Wysong & Miles 315 6" edge sander, single platen with end table . This is a project machine that will need attention to the drive pulley and motor, and possibly the belt angle adjusting assembly.
The sander came to me with the drive pulley welded to the motor shaft. Surprise! Try changing motor bearings with that setup. Freeing the shaft destroyed the pulley motor shaft adapter. During fabrication of a new one, the pulley itself shattered. It was repaired (brazed) and trued. A second pulley was also fabricated. Both are included and either should be suitable once coated. The 2 hp GE Tri-Clad motor's (my absolute favorite 3 phase motor) shaft is damaged and needs major work. I was quoted a repair price that led me to pursue another motor, which I found - a Kingston-Conley, same 2 HP, 1750 RPM, and 224 frame size, but single phase. Both are included in the sale. It looks like there has been repair work to the angle adjusting mechanism; that's all I know about it.
The rest of the machine has been gone over, cleaned and painted. Includes a nice Allen Bradley 709 mag starter.
Several members worked on parts of the pulley and I want to thank them for everything they put into it.
