Three toed 12" jointer by American Woodworking Machine Co, Rochester NY. There's an A.L. Rader and Co badge on it too, but I'm pretty sure it's the American WW M Co.that made it. Approx 8' long and I'd guess 1000-1200 lbs. Currently disassembled and partially restored. Loaded on a heavy duty cart which is included. The jointer is located in Plymouth IN. I live in KY just outside Cincinnati. We visit there regularly, so Ruckering it down isn't out of the question. I wasn't part of the disassembly, so I can't help with the restoration (I'd take it myself if I had a large shop)
I believe it to be complete including the motor and fence (not sure about the blade guard). The only thing that I know is broken is a four spoke hand wheel (infeed adjust, I think). An interesting point is that the motor is 110v, single phase, 2 HP (motor untested).
I'm listing this for a friend who's husband died halfway through the restoration. I'm listing this for a nominal $100, but the real cost of this is a picture (for the widow) of the finished jointer. |
