Beautiful Powermatic 90 wood lathe fully restored and updated to be reliable and functional. The following work was completed approx. 4 years ago:
- New headstock bearings and seal
- Installed newer sliding hub/sleeve with tighter tolerances in the headstock.
- New tailstock bearings
- Large/heavy vintage cast iron legs for open stand config.
- Corner style removable casters to move lathe around, (not shown).
- New Moffatt gooseneck lamps
- New convenient Off/On switch
- New Tailstock Ram lock
- Heavy coating of Acrylic enamel paint.
The lathe comes with an assortment of face plates, a drive center, and a free revolving center. It has a 1 hp 110/220 V motor (currently wired for 110). Variable speed reeves drive from about 550 rpm to 2500 rpm.
I do not want to part with this lathe, however, I no longer have the workspace. I will hate to see this machine go, but at least I’ll know the person who takes it will appreciate it just like I have. |
