I was gifted a 1940's vintage Delta tilting table saw about a year ago with the idea that I would restore it. It is part of the Delta Homecraft wood working tool collection. It actually is a combo table saw with a 4" jointer; all mounted to a common metal stand. Both are working condition albeit missing some parts. I've used the table saw quite a bit for a shop project and it works great, the biggest missing part for the table saw is the blade guard. Over the last 60 years, the base has been modified somewhat, new motors, needs new wiring, and the table appears to be solid steel and is really heavy duty. Same with the jointer, which I haven't used yet and the whole combo needs some tender loving care, would be a fun project though.
I've run out of room for it as I've opted to restore a more compact 1950's DeWalt Radial Arm Saw. |
