Hi I have an 18" Yates planer for sale. It is a Yates J-180. These are tough little planers that have a nice small footprint. It has a straight 3 knife cutter head and it runs off of an 5hp 3 phase motor. I bought it an auction around 4 or 5 years ago but just bought a larger 24" planer and don't have room for it anymore. It looks like somebody had previously restored this machine when I had bought it at the auction. When I bought it, it had a binder with a couple receipts, the manual and a list of what had been done. It has a newer electric motor "starter" which I included pictures of but I think everything else is original. It has a variable speed pulley so you can also adjust the feed speed. I had the knives sharpened not very long ago at A and R saw sharpening and they probably only have 400bd ft run through them. Nice little planer for woodworking. The only cons are it looks like somebody a long time ago had broken one of the adjusters and rebrazed it so I included a picture of that and it also seems like one stud started to strip out in one spot and so they welded a nut on to add extra support/ strength it is hard to take a picture of but if your interested I can explain it more and show it to you. I don't want to hide anything about it I just don't have room to keep it anymore. Asking 1,000 obo Crossposted on Craigslist and Marketplace locally
I also have a 16" Moak jointer for sale.
IF you have anymore questions or would like any certain pictures feel free to reach out. |
