Hi I have a 16" Moak Jointer for sale. It also has a rare spring fed Nels J Billstrom power feeder. I don't know exactly what year it is from. Everything works on it well. The only cons of the machine are that a few of the springs that put pressure on the feeder mechanism "teeth" have snapped. The feeder still feeds most wood through but sometimes needs a little bit of help. I hoped one day to restore the machine and replace the springs on all the teeth but never got around to it. The only other con is that the cast handwheel to adjust the depth of cut is broken and there is only 1 1/2 spokes left to it. I have owned it for around 3 years and haven't had any issues with the machine I have just filled the oilers and it has run good for me. Another cool thing about the jointer is that the power feeder has the ability to lift up and swing across the top of the jointer very easily if you would ever want to use it for jointing edges or changing the knives you can just swing it out of the way but I dont have any fence or guard for it. The main cutterfeed motor doesnt have a nameplate but I am pretty sure it is a 5hp motor and the motor for the power feed is a 1/2hp. The only reason for selling it is that I bought a larger planer and need more room in my shop and I don't use this jointer as often I thought I would. If you have anymore questions or would like anymore pictures just let me know.
This machine is very heavy and our skid steer can barely lift it but it should be able to load it as long as you let me know what kind of trailer you have before coming.
I am also selling my Yates 18" Planer
Thanks have a great day |
