Completely restored 1923 24" wide Oliver 166 Jointer. This jointer left the Oliver factory in 1923 as a facer or "facing planer" It was mounted to a large cast iron base with a Jackson and Church feeder on top. I purchased it and then completely disassembled it, sandblasted, primed, and painted with industrial enamel paint. The tables were reground flat to .001 while still on the jointer (in place) using a 80,000 lb surface grinder. The machine has a 15 hp 3 phase electric motor that is coupled so you can easily change motors and you could even run it with a single phase motor if you'd like. New high quality head bearings. The Jackson and Church feeder was also completely rebuild and can be purchased separately for an additional $1,000 |
